The suggested load data for 7mm Mauser with IMR4895 is 38.0-34.0 . Is there any danger like pressure spike or anything going 2-3 gr lower then 34.0 gr ? Someone said that the bottom is more of a starting point then a danger point . Would like to try some more reduced loads but don't want to ruin my rifle either .

I'm sure you know the powder load is partially determined by the bullet weight. Looks like your question was regarding a 160 grain bullet.

That's H-4895, he has IMR-4895. We know it's OK with Hodgdons, we don't know about IMRs.
Yes, though the post above mine stated it was H4895 which could be reduced. To the OP: ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE USING H4895. IT MIGHT NOT BE SAFE WITH I4895.

H4895 has been my powder of choice for my rifles since I started reloading years ago and like that saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it . But awhile back my supply ran out before I could stock up and the person at the store said IMR4895 was a close sub for it but at lower charges . So I bought a pound of it . Was my fault for not double checking and when I did found they are not close at all . So am trying to find the sweet spot for my 1893 Mauser in 7mm . When shooting my test loads as normal the lower charge was getting pretty decent accuracy but was still a bit of room for improvement and wanted to see if there is some proven loads lower then the 34.0 gr shown . Again this just a get by powder for now till I can get me some H4895 . I may buy a 5 gallon bucket of it cause it works in all my rifles from my 1945 Garand to my 1901 Krag and the 20+ other rifles in between that use smokeless powder . If it is not good to go lower then I will not . The safety of me and my rifles are more important then getting just a little bit tighter group size .

AJC1 I did send a email 1st of the week but haven't got a response back from them . I called once a few years back on something and they were supposed to call back but nada .

CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published data for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The High Road, nor the staff of THR assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information.

I used it for gas checked cast bullet loads in 30-06 & 30-30.

No, not in my experence with the above cartridges.

Just for curiosity's sake called Hodgdon to see if both 4895 could be used for reduced loads. Did not get through to a tech. I did find this article by John Barsness from February 2017 in Handloader Magazine though. The article states he spoke to Hodgdon and they said it could be used, though they had received more consistent results with H4895 rather than the IMR 4895. A screenshot of the article is attached.
