Ive recently seen IMR 7383 for sale locally for cheap. They say its close to IMR 4350 and IMR 4831. I shoot enough .30-06 (100+ rds per week) and would like to switch to a cheap usable powder with good accuracy. Ive got quite a bunch of blemished nosler ballistic tips in 165 and even more 190 SMK's. Thanks as always!

Use the starting loads of 4350. 7383 is very bulky. Make sure it is NEVER compressed. Use a crimp on the bullet.

I loaded some of Bartletts 7383 (lot 48000). With 165 ballistic tips 51.2 grs yielded and average of 2550 fps with an ES of 18 fps. Accuracy is in the half inch range and muzzle blast was non existant when I fired shortly after sundown. This load is right around 98% load density.
