Saw some of that XBR powder at my LGS a couple weeks ago for $30 per pound canister. Is that good>?

Strangely I almost bought a can of it simply because I was attracted to the Gold and Black container not knowing anything else about it.

Well now I know. . .
LOL. It is a pretty snazzy can. That's about what I paid...and about what a LB of powder costs in this town from what I can tell. Actually I paid 36$ plus 20% off, whatever that equals. And everything in the store is always 20% off, which is a whole 'nother story that I dont quite understand...

One of the best loads I ever cooked up for my .223 was 23 grains of the 8208 XBR with Berger 64's jammed hard into the lands. Exceptionally accurate and quiet, too. This with a 26" bbl.
Thx for the info Spit, Ive got some 69s due from the brown truck today.

'tate - just got a box of the Berger 64's yesterday myself. Check Hodgdon load data for your 69's - I think you can load up to 23.8 or so. Come to think of it, since I'm using a longer barrel these days I could probably substitute the slightly smaller 64's and use the same data... !!
