Hi , I have been reloading 20 gauge 7/8 oz skeet loads using PB, 16 grains or so. After 250 rounds through my shotgun , there is virtually no fouling. Never have seen such a clean burning powder. I used to load some 12 gauge 1 1/4 hunting loads with PB, and there was some powder residue. I know that the pressures are slightly higher than some other powders for shotgun , but should not matter for well built guns. Anyone else have any experience with PB ?

I shot trap in the past and loaded with Reddot and 700X. I was happy with both, but the 700X had a noticable more recoil.

home loads

I have loaded PB in 12 bore shotshells, about 20 grains with a fibre wad and 1/1/8 oz. no 7 1/2 shot. Works very well, could perhaps up the amount a little to get a faster muzzle velocity, but have tended to use American select, though not much difference in performance that I can detect .

i used to load PB for trap. 21.5 grains in W-W with a Lage wad. A very fast load with a short shot string and low felt recoil. If I remember the pressure was well below 9000 cup.

Great powder, just too expensive for volume I used.
