IMR4007SSC Discontinued???

Went to my favorite gun shop and didn't see any on the shelf. I asked why they dint have it and the went to the catalog and it was no longer listed/available. Has anyone else heard this? The powder is still listed on the IMR website
 
I have not heard this but I don't have any connections to anyone in the know. Write Hodgdon and ask them. You are assured of getting the correct answer that way.
 
Announced late 2013 or early 2014. Only lasted a few short years. Partial recall in 2015 for stability & decay problems.
 
Not a good powder and IMR knows it, hence the recall. I hadn't heard anything about them bringing it back either.
 
I've had great success with it in 22-250 & 7mm-08. I respectfully disagree. The recalls were very limited
 
When I said it's not a good powder I meant that it is unstable, not that it does or doesn't work well.

Notably, their recall says they will replace any affected powder (6 lots) with any OTHER IMR powder and they don't offer a direct replacement.
