finally got to get to the range yesterday....

once i had my targets set up, i did some close range blasting with the newly revised .45 load, which cleared the barrel everytime.....

but lets not kid ourselves, everybody knows the real fun is behind the long barrels....

i only took my ar and my sagia out... i set up rifle targets at 100yds and 350yds, my buddy wanted to test out his .243 at a longer range than 100yds and i'd figure i'd try too

i let him shoot first while i bump fired the saiga at a 5 gallon bucket out there at the 100yd mark, i don't think i hit it, but why have an ak if you can't have fun with it??:scrutiny:

he pulled off some nice groups at 100yds probally 1moa with remington 100 gr loads...

i used some wolf 55gr. fmj for the 100yd target, and did the usual .75 moa groups, i hadn't shot over this distance for some time so i dug out the black hills 77gr. moly matchkings and looked up my scope settings while he shot...

i don't know what happened but the 1 moa went to more like 3 moa at 350yds, with the .243, i tried it and didn't do much better....

rilfe was probally getting too dirty, after all 15 or so of those rounds, huh??

so i made some clicks and let her rip, my first two shots weren't even in the pic, :D , they all can't be perfect....

but the last 8 here came out quite nice..... dot is 1" birchwood-casey target spot...

if the ar isn't good for anything else at least it's accurate with the right load....:what:

Alot of people would never use wolf in their ARs. Wolf has a new coating out for their ammo now, I heard this solves the problem with the lacquer finish.

I don't think anyone doubts the AR-15's accuracy. It's the reliabilty and soldier worthy-ness that is in question.
