I work at a juvenile BootCamp (corrupt as hell)

on thanksgiving day I got punched by an 18 yr old punk -received 6 stitches to my upper lip and a sprained ankle



my BootCamp is way to soft 4 staff to watch over 32 young angry men



they may be young but in no way are they kids


by the way he is now in prison facing 15 yrs for aggrevated assault(dumbass only had to do a 4month BC program)
 
Sorry to hear about your incident! You need to transfer over to an adult prison. At least there you can hit back!;)

Seriously though. I don't agree with calling 18 year old "men" juvenilles. Psychologically this may be so. Physically they definitely are "men". If I had it my way the cutoff age would be 15. After that you go to adult prisons and programs. The though of going to real prison and very possibly becoming someones "female dog" should serve nicely as a deterent.

As for your staffing, you are way over normal prison standards. Try 40 Officers on shift at a 900+ imate camp where I work. Out of those at least 6 are off the compound doing various duties.

Anyway...do you guys even have weapons there?

If he was 18, you should've kicked ???. Of course our dumbass legal system would be prosecuting you. Oh well, the punk's goin to jail...
 
didn't even think of hitting him(work mode I guess)

not even mad at him he is a product of poor parenting and his environment (philly PA)


I'm mad at my company they are accepting all kids, sex offenders,drug addicts and the good ole thugs

our program is not structured for these kids

staff get 0 training (just statye required restraint techniques)

we hire just about anyone who puts there name on the application


the kids are just $$$$ program does not help them

$200 per kid per day---- gold mine


oh well I work mostly nightshift 9pm to 5 am playing on my laptop and watching movies

union is in the bargaining stages so more money and better conditions are coming

by the way this BC is in the coal region of N east PA so if any punk kid does something to you like trash your car or something and they are sent to BC raise hell because they got it easy here ----too easy

state regs for juvenile program like this is 1 staff to 8 kids

night shift we have 2 staff 1 to 16 ratio


prison is a little differant you are watching over them

we are yelling and screaming at these kids in a military type setting and therefor get attitude back


we have counselors on shift too so they are always in the office doing nothing

then we have staff who like to float-- walking all over smoking and/or doing nothing

so 2 staff to control 32 problem children
