In the market for a -74....

Hi everybody!

I'm looking at purchasing an AK-74 sometime towards the end of the year (I would purchase sooner if I could), and I've been looking at these two rifles:

Is it possible to mount wooden AK-74 furniture to the Tantal rifle? I'm leaning more towards the ORF AK because of this, as I like the look of the classic Kalashnikov.

I already have a Century AKM, so I'm looking for something in 5.45, and I've narrowed it down to these two. Money is tight for me right now so it is likely I wont be able to get either of these until the end of the year, unfortunately. With that in mind, these two rifles are priced right around what I want to spend (no Arsenal for me), and I would really like one with the wooden furniture.

Any thoughts/experiences on either rifle? Thanks in advance.

The Tantal uses specific handguards.

The buttstock will interchange with any standard AKM/AK74 buttstock.

Atlantic is out of the AK-74's.
In any case, I "think" Atlantic bought them from Ohio Rapid Fire.

Here's my ORF AK-74 I bought last Fall.
The woods been refinished, and the buttstock was replace with an Ironwood Designs:





First class all the way.
