Your contentions are somewhat intriguing, but whatever Mauser had on his mind in the 19th Century, the reason for the continuing civilian interest in the CRF is not because people, apart from a few elite and superior people like yourself of course, love giant extractors.

I have handled the Ruger, NICE rifle. I would own one.
