I am very happy with Plainfield Shooting Supply in Plainfield (just west of Indianapolis on US 40).

Beech Grove Firearms in Beech Grove (south side - take 465 to Emerson to main street Beech Grove).

Avoid Don's Guns like the plague.

There really are quite a few good gun shops in Indianapolis but these two have been getting my money.
