rebbryan,
Indy isn't a great town, but the 1500 is an excellent gun show, in my estimation, anywho.

I'm probably going to miss this one. A graduation in the family.

I'll be there Saturday, coming from Central Ohio for the first time. Hope it's a good show.

cordex, whaya mean Indy's not great? It's the 14th largest city in the US, but maybe not greats as NYC, Chicago or LA?!?! Yikes.
Eh?
Why would bigger == better?

Kirk,

I'm in the Whosureland now, but have come down with strep <sp?> throat with a nasty fever and will not make it to the show.

cordex,

sarcasm, sir, sarcasm. ;)

Matt, you'll do anything to get out of working. I chopped 15 chords of wood, shot a dozen bears and painted 2 miles of fence, and that was just this morning (actually I just talked on the phone a bunch and drove to Indy).

Gee, now that you're "sick", you'll have to spend more time in the basement with the pool table and your guns. How horrible!:D

I was out there Friday. The show seems pretty small this year. I've never been on Friday before, so maybe its normal for not all the vendors to be set up, etc..

Saw alot more leather there than before. One guy had some really nice belts for 30 bucks. I was looking for Night Sights, so I didn't intend to buy one, but they were very heavy. Not sure what kind they were, but he had a bunch.

Anyone see Randy Weaver there signing copies of his book?

The dealers were saying that Friday night was really light. Normally the aisles are packed on Friday night. Mr. Weaver is set up next to my friends Vern and Paula Slunaker, He was against that wall with 4 tables of Glock stuff and AR parts. That is where I will be on Sunday.

I think the show this year will probably be hurt by this Hyperfix nonsense. I know when I went Friday(Approx 3:00), the traffic wasn't bad, but very congested/slow. I was on the E Side, and went up Sherman to 38th, then took 38th W to the Fairgrounds. When I saw Keystone, it looked like it was pretty crowded.

Truthfully, had I not known that the "gloom and doom" of Hyperfix failed to materialize, I probably wouldn't have went. It was kinda nice though, not having to worry about a rifle getting shoved up your tail by someone not paying attention... :fire:

Be safe

*sigh*
I ended up finding time to go.
Came out with a light wallet and a nice rifle.

Sunday was a good day,Light in people in attendence all booths open deals to be had.
For the first time I met Randy Weaver in who knows how many shows he's been there and bought his book.
Bless his Soul and that of his family and Lord protect us all!
Walked away from it buying the few trinkets I needed and came home with some dinner money for the family.
All in all a good day.

Went on Saturday Morning...

The show was about like normal, did see some extremely nice Merkel Double Rifles in glass cases. They were in 470 Nitro Express and only $26,000!!:what:

There was also a FN P90 on a dealer's table that deals in Class 3 weapons. It was only $6000....

Did see Mr. Weaver, but he was eating lunch, so did not get to talk to him.
