Sigsmoker, I too have a Handi Rifle but in 300 Blackout with a 16" barrel and a Redfield 2x7---this combination ( supersonic loading) will knock Texas hogs on their butt. My rifle has the short stock and forearm the AAC rifle was originally fitted with replaced with a standard camo butt and forearm making it a super short range hunter.

is there supposed to be a range report with that update? i don't see nothin.

Nice looking rifle, Sigsmoker. My advice is to swap out for a Simmons scope, though. BSA has a reputation, with people calling the company Better Stay Away. Simmons, at least, makes a good product for the money.

I was very close to purchasing a Handi .223 laminate stock varmint model a few years ago. I got scared off by all of the mixed reports of bad accuracy and other problems.

I put off the idea of buying a .223 until recently and just got a Savage. Kinda sucks Freedom Group canned H&R because I would have liked one chambered in .17 Hornet or maybe .204R to play with.

Range report next time out with it, last time out it seems my scope may have been wandering off zero in a lead sled. May have been the issue of the foreend resting just before the barrel in the sled.
First time out I was impressed with it making 2 inch and under groups at 100 yds off sand bags with the hinge of the foreend being the resting place on the taller of two sand bags.
