I like the prices of this round until I read that the import stuff often has bimetal or copper-washed projectiles. I want to shoot true copper jacketed slugs. Am I limited to domestic ammo only? Thanks.

The Wolf in the yellow and the black boxes I believe has a lead core. I am not sure if it is copper washed however.

Thanks. I wonder why they made corrosive stuff in modern times? It seems that I can choose the features I want WITH corrosive primers, or the stuff I really don't want WITHOUT corrosive primers. Dangit!. I do have some Cheetah stuff but the shipping to me in Kentucky from Utah runs over $30 a case. Phooey!

Toolmaker, outdoorsmarksman is in oregon so the shipping will probably be just as high as for the cheetah. Mark

Bimetal is the bullet jacket they are talking about. If you hold a magnet up to a bimetal bullet jacket it sticks. Mark

Wolf makes a copper jacketed 7.62x39 along with the bi-metal stuff. It's only a little more expensive.

As an example, J&G sells both. Bi-metal FMJ is $84.50 for 1K, Copper FMJ is $98.40 for 1K. http://www.jgsales.com/

By the way, J&G is a good place to buy from. Never had any problems with them.

I pay the little extra for the copper jacketed stuff to keep the Yugo SKS fed. Just my personal preference.
