I have an old Smith and Wesson revolver which is either nickel or stainless (not sure which it is). On the right side of its 5" barrel it has some type of symbol (almost looks like a K to me) followed by 38 S&W/CTG followed by the same symbol as before (it is reversed or backwards this time). On the left side of the barrel, it just says "SMITH & WESSON". It has fixed sights. On the butt of the gun are the numbers 265920.

Any information regarding this gun will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Somebody with the reference book will likely come along shortly.

I think it is a WW II British contract .38-200 (.38 S&W heavy bullet load, NOT .38 Special) nickel plated for surplus sale to the Colonials.
