Info on my new Mossberg 590 (A1)?

I just picked up a used (pawn shop) Mossberg 590. Park'd barell, ghost rings, but nowhere on the receiver do I find 51xx (stamp of the A1). Matter of fact, the only number I see besides "590 12 ga" is a stamp on the left that is P6982xx. The guard is plastic, as is the safety, which I assume makes this a 590 receiver with the A1 buisness end.

I'm assuming that should be just fine, right? (This is my fisrt shotgun, so I'm green!).

BTW, I don't feel taken, I was going to buy a Big 5 590, and add the ghost rings. Would have put me over $500 in the end with the smith work for the front sight. i walked out of Ye Old pawn shop at $315. Assuming this combo willl be OK, I WIN!

it is a 590. the ghost rings and barrell are available in plain 590

Would there be any way to tell if the barrell was swapped from an A1? Did the plain 590 come parkerized as an option?

It's a regular 590, tricked out. Still a great gun; I have one as well and I paid more then you (got it new though).

Midway USA sells a collapsable AR style buttstock for it...I put one on mine and like it a lot. Makes it much more managable for 3 Gun and such.
