I haven't been able to second-source this.

Does anyone have any information that's more .. legitimate?

A possible start:

http://statepolitics.lohudblogs.com/2013/04/11/safe-act-mistake-leads-to-pistol-permit-seizure/

?

I search-engined <David Lewis, 35, of Erie County, New York>

(I don't use Gargle.)
I don't use google anymore either since they became anti-gun (try to search for firearms in their shopping section). I use bing now which is decent enough.

I really hope this SAFE act gets overturned and declared unconstitutional so another cannot be put through in the future.

This is legit, we are all anxiously awaiting 4/29 to see if the Tresmond lawsuit injunction is approved. There is also another lawsuit that NYSRPA had filed which is seeking an injunction.

I won't use Bing. It's a Microsoft thing. Bill Gates is a huge Obama supporter.

I have to use some Microsoft things (hard not to and still function in society and the others aren't much/if any better) but of given a choice I will not actively support them.

I home-paged info dot com, but I occasionally use dogpile. I got ticked off at dogpile for something once, so went to info. Now, later, I don't even remember what irked me about dogpile.:)

Too bad the word "google" has become a term of endearment for search engines in general. I regard it as a term of enragement.

And what InkEd said.

Buckeye is a very large state PAC that has fought the battle for conceal carry etc. in Ohio for many years. I have used them as a source for information for at least 10 years. They have been very active politically too. They are very much a "legitimate" organization.

I don't use google for a number of reasons, privacy being the most important. I use duckduckgo.com they don't track you and they state they don't track you.

Ok so we all know New York gun laws are deplorable. I really hope this is found to be unconstitutional. My real concern is how did they get the information about this guy taking anti-anxiety meds in the past, if no one turned him in? That's what bothers me. I hope he sues the "you know what" out of NYS and whoever authorized this obviously illegal violation of HIPA. I work with mental patients. We take HIPA very seriously. VERY seriously.

I work at a hospital as well and yes, there's a four hour portion of orientation dedicated to HIPAA and training every couple of months. If somebody violated that they should be subject to the full power of the legal system.
