Hi all!

So I just got done reviewing this little bugger and I must say, for the price and size I am impressed. I usually stray away from aluminum monocore/baffled cans these days but I also get tired of heavy 22 cans. So why not try a little of everything? I feel these micro lightweight cans fill a niche. For those of us who already have a SS, FA rated, 5.7 capable 22 can. It's nice to have something in the collection that is short and light.

As for the sound, I didn't meter it, however it sounds close to a YHM mite shot dry but much quieter when shot wet. The monocore responded well to the water and the tone was very low and pleasing to the ears. I feel tone is often often overlooked when shopping for a suppressor these days. A lot of us get wrapped up in dB reduction performance, which is important but another factor is the tone and how it sounds to the human ear. If the can has a high frequency pitch it will sound louder and actually annoy the shooter vs a can with a lower pitch that sounds pleasing.

Of course the trade off is that lower frequencies travel further over distance than high frequencies. That is why some centerfire pistol cans are designed with high frequency. IE- Model A with high frequency is harder to hear at 50yards than Model B with a low frequency, but model B sounds better to the shooter. This is also why shooting 9mm through a 45 can sounds pleasing to the shooter when it actually meters slightly louder. Not to mention your back pressure will be lower thus giving you lower port pop numbers and better "at ear" meter readings.

As far as maintenance goes, I've been spoiled with dropping SS baffles in my USC and letting it do the work. With this can you must resort back to hand cleaning. Yes, it's a pain but its not that bad if you add it to your post range trip routine. I would say that if you have gotten lazy about cleaning your firearms to not let this go and make sure to clean every 500rds so the lead/carbon doesn't buildup between the tube and monocore.

As far as where it really shines is of course it's size. At only 4.25" long and weighing in at 3oz it's really fun to shoot with and looks more porportionate due to it's 1.125" OD on larger 22 clones like the 1911's and M&P's.

I already have more 22's cans than I can count but at it's price point it was a no brainer. Also, stay tuned because I have a ton of Innovative Arms suppressors to review for you! This is the first video in the series.
