I'm hosting InSights Training for several courses in early October 2008 at my facility in Central Texas.
InSights Training is based in the Seattle area, run by Greg Hamilton, supported by John Holschen and many other excellent instructors. Their school was one of the first to offer a truly integrated approach to gun/unarmed/knife/tactics skills. Their instructors and students have dominated the winner's circle at the National Tactical Invitational for more than a decade, and their program and curricula have influenced many other instructors in the training community. The instructor resumes and bios are far too long to post here, visit

Oct 3 - Defensive Folding Knife. $175
15+ years ago a Seattle based instructor named Erik Remmen was the first guy to teach a self defense course focused on use of the one handed folding knife (he preferred the Spyderco Delica). Remmen partnered with InSights, they expanded his program and have been offering this course longer than anyone else in the private sector training world. The course takes students from basic skills to FIST-suit knife vs. unarmed sparring in one day. Course material is oriented to armed citizens but is also appropriate for those that do not carry guns on a regular basis. More details on the Insights web page.
Oct 4-5 - Street and Vehicle Tactics. $350. We'll be hosting a 2 day version of this class. It covers tactics for armed-citizen responses to the most likely street and vehicle situations. The class includes a lot of scenario-based training with red guns and Airsoft guns.
Class location is the KR Training A-Zone range which is 1 hr from Austin & Bryan, 2 hrs from San Antonio, Waco and Houston.
