Last time I installed an Arsenal polymer Warsaw length stock on my AK, it took forever to grind and file away the excess material until it finally fit into the stamped receiver. I want to install the Arsenal NATO length stock this time to get that extra LOP.
Anyone have a good You Tube or set of hints as to how to make the job easier this time around?
PS - I live in California so folding stocks are not an option.

A file is a standard tool when assembling AKs.

A wood rasp would remove material faster. Check fit often so it doesn't end up loose.

What are you installing it on? If it’s a MAK90, you will have to fit all AKM stocks to fit as the receivers are thicker. File away as stated:)

It's going on a stamped Century Arms RAS47. Despite all the negative press, the one I bought was made after they "fixed the grunion problem". It still looks and shoots fine after nearly 3,000 rounds.
