I am about to buy a Galco Instructors Belt, and they have reinforced vs non-reinforced. For IWB carry (which is what I do 95% of the time), would non-reinforced be sufficient or should you always opt for the reinforced? Thanks for any advice.

I don't have the Galco but I wear the reinforced 1-3/4" Wilderness Instructor belt every day, carrying or not (I work in MD :banghead:).

It is very comfortable and supports all my guns & holsters well. I use both IWB and OWB holsters for both 1911s and my 629. No problems carrying the weight.

I'm sure the non-reinforced are fine, too. But why?

I am not familiar with Galco's belt. Probably the reinforced. If you are able to handle them in person, try this: Holding the edges of the belt between your thumb and second finger in a pinching motion, press in the middle of the belt with your index finger. If it bends it will not be stiff enough to be truly suitable for use as a gun belt.

I've had a Wilderness belt with the reinforcement and didnt like it. It was to stiff, and for some reason would pinch me occasionally.

I've also used the three stitch and five stitch, and prefer the five stitch, which I've been using for a long time now.
