I would love to get a big nice gun safe but in my trailer I don't know how I would go about getting it in or once in how the floor would do under it so for now I am stuck with a Stack-on gun "cabinet" bolted to the wall. It is obviously not air tight. I want to add shelves in it for my handguns. Is there anything I should be afraid of putting in there. I wanted to use wood and cover it in carpet. What kind of carpet should I use? I am not really woried about theft because I live on about 100 acres with just family and we have not had any kind of trouble in the last 50 years. It is more just to lock up my guns for when company comes or when my daughter is born in 2 weeks.
