It's a Rossi revolver. Maybe a model M851 ?
It's only worth about $200-$300 if it's very nice.

"Own this Brazilian bombshell for only..."

I don't think I'd use the word bombshell in a gun ad for a $300 Rossi.

"Late years of the Reagan administration" ??

I thought these were only made in '85-'86. Okay, call it late first term.

Oh what the heck, it's a Rossi and might be a good buy at $250. Much higher and I'd be looking for a Ruger Security/Police Service Six.

Ah, the Rossi 851. Nice revolver, actually. Mine (in 3") is one of my favorites--accurate, reliable, fun.

But comparable to a Colt Diamondback? Umm...no.

Here's my Rossi 851, I really like it, shoots great ,and not one problem to date, the picture shows the first day I took it to the range. I've since worked up a better load and groups are much tighter, but still not bad for 20 yds.

<<"I thought these were only made in '85-'86. Okay, call it late first term.">>

How about early 2nd term, Reagan's 2nd term ran from January 1985 to January 1989. (-:

Im going to keep working on him,I'd like to have it.He told me today his wife said no:cuss:
I'll work him for a while.

In a minor segue--does this Rossi just look like a Colt, or does it copy the lockwork, etc.?

It has absolutely nothing in common with the Colt Diamondback, other than a vented barrel that vaguely resembles the Colt.
These were actually closer to the S&W design.
