best i can tell from the book ive got is the very late 70's and early 80's to the late 90's is when they where imported into the u.s.
Mark X rifles were indeed made in Yugoslavia and imported through Interarms.
The rifles were introduced in 1974 and sales continued through 1988.
There are several variations of Mark X rifles and it would be fairly difficult to ascertain exactly when your rifle was produced unless you are lucky enough to have the original box and sales receipt.
These are very good actions and very decent rifles.
The most common calibers seem to be .30/06 and 7mm Remington Magnum.
They were pretty expensive for the time period they were sold in and yet they still sold well against Winchester and Remington rifles.
Wooden stocks on these rifles can run from exceptional to very plain and cheesy.
I have been looking for an unfiddled with Mark X Whitworth Express rifle in .375 H&H Magnum for several years now with no luck.
Most of these heavy caliber rifles appear to have made their way up north and the owners aren't letting them go.
A value for your rifle guessing it is in sound, functional condition would be $300.00 to $400.00 retail

Inter-arms was just the importer of the Mark X, Chas Daily is now the importer and supposedly, theirs is the same rifle. I think, but wont swear to it that older Parker Hales were also produced by them at one time.
The rifle is just a clone M98 action commercially made in Yugoslavia. The US govermant stopped importation of arms from there during the Bosnian war and Inter-Arms went belly up I`m told. I`ve one I rebarreled in 6.5x55 and like it. The action isn`t a Dakota in quality or price but is a very servicable one.

I used to own a custom rifle built on a Mark X action. An older gentleman had it built for his wife but saddly she passed before she could use it. I never had any problems with mine. It was a fine rifle.
