Seen basically a spandex tube for a trouser belt that clip knife goes into horizontal along the belt in front that goes under the pistol belt rig used by LEOs maybe 15 years back.

of course trouser belt, sheath, and knife are all “concealed” by the pistol belt rig.

gave Officer easy either hand access to lock blade folder that did not take up room on duty rig and was concealed….. in case one needed it for a little gardening in say an onion field wink wink.

some wore them Small of back.

local yokels mostly, but one Federal.

I like that both ends of this leather sleeve are open in that it makes it totally “crambidexterous” no need to worry which end goes on the belt for which ever way you want the hinge to point.

I've asked a knifemaker friend that is very good with sheaths if he can make a version that the clip would go inside to avoid snagging and scratching vehicles and surfaces. He thinks it will be easy. I'll post when he makes the first one.
Please share pics! I might be interested!

I'll see if I can remeber to get over there. They're close but I dont go that way very often.

I made it over to the Army Surplus store I mentioned - they remodeled (more like rearranged) the store and changed some of the inventory mix.

They didn't have the sheath so I asked the manager.... apparently local person made them but he didn't know who it was (manager - not my job... I sell stuff, take a look at these other sheaths)

Did your source ever make any?

Normally I don’t like stuff hanging off my belt other than a gun, but that’s a great idea.

The open bottom is for positioning the knife holster for us lefties. So many products are made for the right-handed world, we lefties are a truly disadvantaged minority. This holster maker considered our needs; I am grateful for such forethought.

You can't just turn the holster 180°?
