I made a trip across town to the very nice gun shop we're blessed with here in the very small, very rural WV town that I live in and had something catch my eye as soon as I got to the first pistol display case.Right there on top of the case was a beautiful Springfield SA-35,just like the one I have.My shooting buddy and mentor was already there admiring it and he told me it even had a decent trigger. It had the same little crunchy feeling that mine has,so I guess it's the nature of the beast. What was different was the price tag.I can't believe they've went up 150 dollars in a little over a year.I cringed when I saw $850 on it.
On an even pricier note was a beautiful EAA Witness race gun that had just came in from the estate of a gentleman who liked fine pistols. There were several, but I'd always wanted to see one of those EAA's,and that one was barely fired and it had probably the most perfect trigger I've ever felt in a semiautomatic handgun.2 pounds.Exactly.Every time. But that's not why I was there. The reason I was there was to take a look at a M&P 2.0 in 10MM.And that's what I did.I looked at it thoroughly,I dry fired it,I filled out the paperwork and I carried it lovingly to my truck.I hurried home to get it cleaned up and was able to get a magazine's worth of shooting done with it.Quite a fun and accurate little pistol that will soon be my main truck gun.Pics and a better range report to follow, but I impressed myself with it already.I don't think I shoot as well as I shot it this evening, but time will tell.
