I doubt you will be able to get an exact manufacture date since Intratec has been out of business for over a decade. The AB-10 was only manufactured during the "assault weapons ban", since it is a neutered version of the Tec-9 made to comply with the AWB. 1994- through when the company went under around 2000.
If I remember correctly there was a company that bought out their existing stock. If I can find the name I'll post it here for you...might be a starting point..............they weren't very accurate or reliable in function. But they were interesting when first made. I still have a fairly rare Interdynamic KG-9 open bolt version in the box as a safe queen...............
I bought an AB10 during the assault weapons ban just because. It only cost $250 here in Georgia. I traded it for something else after a couple of years because it really was a pretty crappy gun.
It loved to jam and invariably there would be a cartridge hanging halfway out of the ejection port with the bullet itself jammed between the face of the bolt and the chamber sideways. Very uncomfortable sight!
I bought 5 AB10s from a distributor on clearance for less than $100/per when I had an FFL. I sold 4 of them, all had problems shooting more than 4 rounds without jamming or hitting a pie plate at 10 feet. I felt sorry for the people who bought them. I took the last one and cut it up into little pieces while cursing the people who foisted these pieces of crap on the world. IMO they should have been horse whipped.
On the other hand you might have got the one that actually worked. Good luck.
