Hello, I have someone comming over to look at my Makarov. I'm going to be selling my Bulgarian Makarov along with about 750.00 rounds of a mix between Barnaul standard/Tiger .95 gr. JHP's, a Falco custom molded IWB and my laminate wood grips. I'm asing 300.00 for everything. the gun has 1000 rds though it and has a new recoil spring on the way.

Hmm... I figure $150 for gun, $75 for ammo, $35 for holster and maybe another $20 for grips. That adds to $280 if bought individually so as a package deal I would expect to pay about $250.

Market value is where a willing buyer & a willing seller meet in their negotiations. If he's willing to give you $300 for the package then that is it's value ;) .

It seems a little (very little) on the high side of fair so sell it for that (or at least start negotiations there). You could even use the fact that it is a package as a selling point, the buyer won't have to do all the running around to assemble the various pieces :D (plus the shipping of the various items if he had to order them).

Bulgie Maks go for $99 on sale in my parts (and yes, that's in California). Nice grips though! The extras add some nice value, but I'd personally buy a new one and build it up for that price.

And I agree with Greg L. The gun is worth what someone is willing to pay.

I've tried selling a few things that wouldn't sell at what I priced them, but taking any more loss on them was untenable, so I kept them until they would sell or I could make use of them.

Maybe a little on the high side but it might depend on where you live.I wouldn't be surprised if he offered $250.00 to $275.00.The gripd do look nice.

mastinson,

I just got 2 "used" $120 Maks from AIM. (now I have 11 :) )

One was new with 2 very little marks on the slide.
The second had a little holster wear but had been shot VERY little.

$15 shipping.

Plus they throw in 4 new or like new magazines.

I've been shooting one the last couple days.
Typical Mak.
I took it out of the box, wiped it off, oiled it and began shooting.
Like the rest, it works 100%.

If the guy wants to shop around he could find all that for a bit less but as others said, what's agreed upon is fair in the end.

The Bulgie Maks I just saw at a show here were much higher priced than half a year ago...they were selling for about $200 on average at the show this weekend.

It's a little high but if he's willing to pay it then more power to you.:D

I've got a mint Bulgie MilSurtp and mint Ruskie commercial on the block if anyone's interested.:)
