If "lying under oath" was a universally punishable crime, then every convicted felon that ever had the temerity to take the stand and profess his innocence would have been additionally so charged. It's not. It's understood that when one testifies to one's own innocence, the jury either will or will not believe you. If the jury decides not to believe you, that doesn't make you guilty of perjury.
