Is a VP9 Holster Compatible With VP9L?

Hi All-

Does anyone know if a VP9L will fit in a VP9 (4 Inch barrel) holster? If not, can anyone tell me where they got thier VP9L holster? I haven't been able to find many kydex light bearing OWB paddle holsters.

Two different things you're asking.

A VP9L would normally not fit in a VP9 holster, unless it was an open bottom holster such as

Comp-Tac QB belt holster https://www.comp-tac.com/qb-belt-holster

A holster for a gun with a mounted light would be different. Most holsters use the light as a retention point, so often times the light model is more important than the pistol slide.

In this instance a Phlster Floodlight holster only really considers the light you're using https://www.phlsterholsters.com/shop/floodlight-owb/

One example of a company that offers holsters for the VP9 and VP9L with both light mounted and holsters for those guns without the light mounted is JM Custom Kydex.

If you could be more specific what you are looking for, kydex, leather, IWB, OWB, concealment, competition, duty, light mounted no light mounted, etc., I could probably offer more suggestions.

I'm glad you found something. While I'm a bit of a "holster hound" and love helping find folks find holsters...

I don't do belt loops.

Conversely, I don't do paddles or mounted lights - this search would have been out of my wheel-house.
