Like the title says. I have one mounted now, but have read that heavy scopes slip in the groove pretty easily, and that I should tap and mount a Weaver base if I want to use big scopes.
I also have a Weaver J2.5 (3/4" scope) sitting around, should I switch to that and save the K4 for a larger gun? Might do that anyway, as the K4 throws off the handiness of my Marlin 75C carbine.
Pretty cool old-school steel scopes, made in El Paso. Lots of good stuff made before I was born.
