I have always picked up brass, even though I dont reload. My ex wife used to pick it up when she was little. Her and her dad would go to the range, she would police brass, then she recycled it in order to buy things she wanted.
I have always been a brass hound at the range. I have reloaded for 50 years. I now have more brass than I can ever use up in the rest of my lifetime...chris3
Everyone else says yes? Well I say no! Leave it there, the market is saturated, nobody wants it, which range do you shoot at?
I sort and clean then donate to my LGS anything I don't load for. He's far better to me than I to him so it's an easy thing to do. It's also kept me shooting during the current ammo crunch as I had a healthy supply of components.
I pick mine up and periodically just give it to someone who reloads. The gun range where I shoot are such d*cks about it, that I'd rather give to anyone other than leave it.
My son and I used to go to the range several times a month and shoot and take turns picking up brass. We would sort, clean and bag it up and take it to gun shows and sell or trade it. I have bought 8 pound cans of powder, primmers and a Marlin 38/357 rifle with the brass that I picked up, well worth the time and effort.
