Is Capital Cartridge Company A Good Vendor?

But...the UPS tracking # doesn't work. Fired off an email to them!
They likely printed the UPS label but UPS has not picked it up yet.

As far as LPP vs SPP goes, I treat them as different cartridges, keep them separate. It is nice to have some flexibility when it comes to limited primer availability.

That's probably what it is...they're not in UPS's possession. Probably the boss's wife has them in the trunk of her car and she didn't make it to UPS on time! You know the drill: "I've got a couple of errands to run and then I'll take them right over!".

Heard back from Capital this morning. My tracking # was issued Friday but the primers are being "readied" for shipment. I think they're on it!

Sounds similar to what happened with me a couple of weeks ago although it was a different company. The company I dealt with is well known and well respected, and often recommended here, and I've dealt with them a few times over the last few years.

Anyway, their website says "6-8 business days for shipping" and longer for hazmat items. I placed my order on a Sunday and received my order on Tuesday, 7 business days later. Never received a tracking #, every time I checked it said "Check back later for shipping and tracking information".

Several people here have recommended this company so I think you'll be good to go. Although it may possibly still be in her trunk. o_O

That is pretty standard.

The Tracking Number is automatically issued as the order is processed. It doesn't mean it has actually shipped yet.

You can't expect Amazon efficiency from smaller companies

I’m glade they make SPP and LPP for .45 acp and 10mm! because I can’t get ahold of LPP

I bought primers from them. UPS held the shipment for some reason and I never received them. Thought I was getting scammed. They were responsive.... but wasn't exactly a priority. They ended up just sending me another box from their warehouse and said they'd keep the returned box when UPS decided they'd send it back. It took over over a month to receive said primers..... during which I had to reach out to them about once per week. I was always friendly.... and patient. They ended up giving me a discount on a second box I ordered once the first finally arrived (so I knew it wasn't a scam), which was nice of them. So in the end it was a happy ending.... mainly because I now have a lot of primers. :)

Everytime I thought i had a lot of primers, i didn't, just saying.

Isn't that the truth?

I remember being amused when a guy in my reloading club was wondering if he should up is stock of primers from 50k to 100k. I currently have about 30k and wondering if I should have gotten more.

I think a better way to gauge "plenty" is to figure how many you use in a year and double that as a good standby
