Is CCW a Ruse?

CCW is about boiling the gun control frog slowly. 20 years ago, we were faced with an educational system, mass media and laws that were all hostile to gun ownership or use. CCW allowed us to start an experiment in bearing arms that didnt result in a public backlash and allowed us to gather very compelling statistics in support of our cause.

To a certain extent we have already won. We have created an environment friendly to the keeping and bearing of arms in many areas that were once completely hostile to the idea. The ranks of those who think like us swell every year. This lays the groundwork for real victories later on.

I have a CCW permit from AZ, and none of my weapons are registered. I can carry anything from a pistol to a cue-ball in a sock, they don't care what it is.

And those people who disagree aren't compelled to get concealed carry permits. I can't think of any state that requires everyone to get a permit, and I haven't seen any news reports of law enforcement officers going house to house demanding that all occupants apply for carry permits. So far as I know we still live in a country in which everyone has the right to not keep and bear arms! :what:

Almost sorry I asked

Dear Friends,
I am sure that I would love to be with you all. Sounds like this is a passionate group that truly cares. I did not mean CCW when I said I carry my gun in a bag when I travel. CCW means that I have it on my person and it is legal. I am sure as I read the Kansas law they want to know if the gun you carry is registered and the serial number on record.
Does anyone know of an insurance policy that will protect my assets if I am on the receiving end of a civil suit after bagging a bad guy. I think my home owners insurance will to a certain extent but I think there is a need for some good insurance. If you carry a gun, you should be able to protect your assets. BTW, bankrupcy will protect your home, your car and the tools of your trade in most states. Your college program and extra retirement investments are fair game.
