Hello...
I found a 150 round box of this at my LGS for $75 plus tax. It says loaded with Hornady bullets. It was cheaper than everything else in stock, so I bought it. I just wondered if anyone has shot any of it. Thanks.

it is all good. what do you want to do with it? shoot steel? paper targets for groups? hunt pigs or deer? some ammo is better than others for a task, but it is all good IMHO

It's all good ammo. The 62gr bthp and 75gr bthp have been very accurate for me as well.

I've shot lots of the Frontier 62gr BTHP without issue. That said, I've heard rumors of kabooms in the past. I can't vouch for the validity of those claims, but they are out there.

My local Bi-Mart gets this stuff in stock regularly, so I've bought up a bunch; I've probably put about 300 rounds of the 55 grain .223 and 62 grain 5.56 through a 6920, a DD and a SA Saint with zero issues and still have a few boxes left.

I tried a variety of it when I first started shooting. Some kinds my rifle hates, others are as good as my hand loads. It kinda sucks but you’ll have to try and see.

It does not like the 68 grain projectiles. It does ok with the 75 grain ones and shoots outstanding with the 55 grain 223 Remington version. The 55 grain 5.56 version is tolerable but not noteworthy.

It works well for me.

Back when I could still find it their 62gr fmj became my preferred ammo.

There are threads on a couple other gun forums, mainly from 2-3 years ago. The bad reports seemed to be limited to certain lots of 75g ammo, IIRC.

I still have a few boxes of Frontier Ammo in my stash. The other Frontier ammo that I have shot must have performed ok as I don't have any negative comments in my notes. I have recently found some Frontier 223 cases that have crimped primers.
