If Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, would he not still be a non-natural born U.S. citizen? Since Hawaii entered the union in 1968... Am I on to something here?

And people born in Hawaii were retroactively given natural born citizenship to 1952 (EDIT: 1959 according to above poster) I think it was.

The question isn't when he was born in Hawaii. The question is *if* he was born in Hawaii.
