Is it me or does the Speer Gold Dot 38. Special 135gr. ammo weigh more?

ME too

I just picked up a box last night and I was thinking the same thing.
I have been carrying some remington 130 grain .38 specials but
the 135 Speer do feel like they weigh more. I need to throw them on
the reloading scale and check. It realy should not be a noticable
difference.:scrutiny:

If you went from 125 grain bullets to 135, you increased your pocket load by a whopping .022 ounces (do the conversion) - probably enough to make it hard to walk without tipping over!! Just kidding!

Nickle plating would add so little weight it would be impossible for us to weight with any means we have at home. Negligible.

I wouldn't know if Speer ammo feels heavy or not since Speer is the only ammo I have ever carried in my J frame. I only mentioned the Nickel plating because I thought it might explain any felt difference in weight. In retrospect, a little Nickel on 5 rounds really wouldn’t add much to the total weight of the revolver, at least nothing that should be felt.
