Is It Me?

Well, it's only a matter of time that this brain washing that is happening in our grade schools reaches the lawmaking community in 20 years, or so. Right now you can't even make your fingers like a gun and say "bang" without severe penalties. The school age generation today are being taught that guns are bad, guns ar evil and guns are only for bad people so when they grow up and move into politics the groundwork is laid. We'll have laws like England and Australia within 25 years if this keeps going this way and so far we've been unable to stop them. State-by-state, one at a time, until there is enough support to make the 2nd amendment outdated and removed. This will take a generation but they are pushing this agenda until it happens. These are sad days in America. It's like watching someone slowly bleed to death from hundreds of tiny wounds until there is no blood left.

It is hardly a secret that the “leadership” of this great country wants nothing more than to disarm America in order to lead us into an all-powerful, isolated administrative state that can govern without considering the people's approval.

Unfortunately, many supposed Second Amendment supporters are unable or unwilling to acknowledge the fact that there has never been a truly benevolent government. Government is about power, and power is a zero-sum process. We are either leaders or we are led. When the government gains more power, it gains that power at the expense of the people it governs. When we agree to give the government more power, we are surrendering some of our own power. As government gains more power, we lose more and more of our freedom. If we surrender enough power, if we become dependent on the government, the government gains the advantage and we move closer and closer to tyranny and dictatorship. We will either control our government, as our Founding Fathers intended, or our government will control us.

So when is enough enough?
At what point is 2A exercised for which it was intended?
There has to be a line drawn somewhere.
Will we allow it to be crossed? Will we literally go to war with our government, or will we give up, and whine about it on chat boards?

BBQ,
I wonder that myself. I have no desire to take up arms against my country, it's soldiers, or it's police officers. I don't really think any of us want that. But I believe that the day is coming that we will find out who really are sheep and who really are wolves. I pray that we never reach civil war again. But I also believe that those that do take up arms will be viewed as nothing more than domestic terrorists like Timothy Mcveigh. If it was all 80+ million gun owners that marched on Washington, our government would cave. But a couple hundred here, couple hundred there? Can you say drones?
