Is it possible to mount an RMR type reflex sight onto a Sig P229R (original style 9 m

Have a P229R that I use with a Crimson Trace laser grip and TLR-1 for home security. Am interested in mounting a micro reflex sight to the top of the slide, does not have to be Trijicon brand, can be something else like that. Does anyone know if this is possible or a gunsmith who can do that work?

what year is the gun and have they changed the rear sight on your model as years gone by? If not the Burris fast fire II sig mount will work. Then you can run a Fastfire or doctor sight.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. SIG has changed the 229 to use that massive extractor and have full height serrations, but it still uses the same sights. For 9mm it should be a #8 front and #8 rear. The dovetail hasn't changed.
