Is it possible to convert a inline from a percushion cap to a 209 shotgun primer? The model in mind is a Traditions Lightning-Bolt .54

Call Traditions,maybe they offer parts to change it over.

209 conversion kits are generally available for a wide variety of inline rifles and shotguns. The Traditions Lightning may be problematic since it's not in production. Your best bet is to call the customer service people at Cabela's and Midway USA. Both sell 209 conversions for many guns and could probably tell you which one, if any, you need to order.
