I found something that’s a good deal on www.riflecases.com,

But I’m scared to buy it because it says all over it that it’s affiliated with galatiinternational.com.

But on the galatiinternational.com website I see no mention of it.
And it’s not as professional a site as galatiinternational.com

It seems kind of fishy.

Have any of you guys done business with them?

thanks.

well, I just clicked your link to riflecases, and searched the optic secion for a Leupold scope. It opened a new window, with galatiinternational. So, I would say that they definatly have some sort of partnership, but to what degree, I don't know.

Okay, so they are affiliated. What about that is terror inducing? Is there a dramatic scandal about Galati that I don't know about?

I'm curious because a while back I bought a Galati bag from www.usarmorment.com at a smoking good price. I fished around for testimonials here, but ended up taking the leap and getting what I wanted. A good bag at a good price. But maybe I should think otherwise?

It’s not that they said they were affiliated that scared me.
It was that I could find nothing stating the affiliation on Galati’s website.

It’s like if I make a website and said I was affiliated with Ruger, on every single page. Just because I say it doesn’t mean it’s true.

But anyway, I called Galati and they confirmed they are affiliated with them.
So I placed my order.

Okay, I see what you mean, and I agree. I sometimes fear that a certain site, with unbelievable prices, may be passing off counterfeit copies of a brand name. That has been my concern with Galati and Leupold products on a couple of occasions. Both times, I actually called those manufacturers and asked them about the respective website/vendor.

Scopes are big business for the counterfeit copies, i still see them on Ebay a fair bit. You get the ones that very subtly say they are the "equivalent" too.
