next thing is someone will tell me i cant shoot .452 255-260 gr lead in out of my 1911
Why would someone tell you something silly like that?

Lee did not spend big bucks to come up with a crimp die that crimps just like any other (which it does short of the squeezing into submission part), Lee came up with a brilliant scheme to sell a "magic bean". Gotta love it. It's worked.

And relax. It's not personal. :)

might be why this die sells out as soon as it comes in because it doesn't work.

Or maybe it sells out so fast because there are so many folks out their trying to fix a non-existant problem because their std crimp die is not adjusted correctly.

But then again if you're happy with the FCD so be it.

This whole topic comes up approx every 2 to 3 weeks.

Going back to the orginal topic, if the loaded round fits in the barrels chamber it'll work, providing its not a feeding problem. Forget the case gauge.

The end result is all that matters in the end.

COWBOY GUYS SAY ALL THE TIME at the range U CANT SHOOT THAT ROUND IN A 45ACP

were did you get load data from,

me and u have been back and forth on this for over 2 years now and neither has changed there mind and I'm sure next time it will be the same, :D

I'm always open to something new if I'm in need of it,

i like your input on a lot of your post and take to heart some thing i have tried and learned from what you say,,(SOMETIMES :p), it is just this one we talk to death ;)

i don't take anything personal on the INTERNET,

MY DIE MIGHT NOT BE SET RIGHT I DID JUST START RELOADING A FEW DAYS AGO, THINK IT WAS 1975.

and the only round this comes up on is the 45acp, i bought the one for the 40 and 10mm because i like the way the 45 worked, when the 44mag gets in stock will get it also, even i have never had any trouble with the 44 in the smith or the DE
