I've asked at several LGS about SA-35 stock; all are waiting for orders, with no knowledge of when they might see any. Common online retailers like Bud's and Midway say out of stock. One LGS worker opined that Springfield is using all production lines to push out Hellcats and XD & XDM, and not currently building SA-35.
Any real knowledge or opinions on the availability?

Ive been on a list for four months or so.
No word when (if) the high-volume store will get any.

Stay safe.

Rumor is they're constrained by both Tisas frame production/importation from Turkey, as well as their own continued process in refining the finished product, as early SA-35s have been suffering a lot of extractor problems

I know there are none in my area. That's why I got a Girsan MC P35 instead

Is Tisas making the frames for them?

In January of this year I bought 2qty and was quite pleased with myself......... paid dearly but I love the feel of the high power.

My love was lost once I took it to the range.
My first two mags I had a shot gun pattern at 15 yards, very unlike me.

The third mag the rear sight fell off the the gun.

I boxed them both up and gave them to the dealer to list on gunbroker.com.

I got my money back i would not recommend

The current one I am following on Gunbroker is at $1225.00. Ouch! From the anecdotal information I've read on several forums, it might be best to wait until Springfield has the bugs worked out on this one.

No official confirmation, but the sa-35 and the discontinued tisas Regent BR 9 conveniently share the same sight dovetails which are proprietary and not compatible with FN Hi powers

No one knows for sure. The Tisas frame was cast. The SA -35 frame is forged. There are a lot of similarities.

  1. The Tisas and the SA-35 have known extractor issues.
  2. The barrel fit is similar and is the loosest fitting BHP barrel I have ever encountered but they seem to shoot.
  3. The Sight cuts are propriety and appear to be silimar.
  4. Both have a forged one piece barrel.
SA will never tell us for a fact where they are coming from. I can tell you that I have one or should I say SA is in possession of the one I own because it has what I suspect is a bad extractor channel. The OEM extractor failed at 150 rounds. I replaced it with a new FN part and it failed at about round 75. They both show not normal wear marks on the extractor. My serial number is in 6800 range. I am told it will be back to me sometime next week. I am going to most likely sell it once I confirm it runs. I have too many FN BHPs to mess with this one. I wanted to badily for it to work. I waiting until I thought the extractor issues were resolved but here we are. The highest reported serials numbers a on the 9000s I believe.

I was told there was an extractor design change around serial number 7000. IMHO the gun is not ready for prime time.
