I just caught a couple episodes of Steven Seagal: Lawman. I was astounded at the hypocrisy! In one episode he's giving another officer pointers so he can pass his pistol qualification (he just barely passed, btw), and in the next episode Seagal is talking about how "we" don't like gun being on the street because they kill cops and go off by accident and blah, blah, blah, (insert anti BS here), blah. That was after he took a registered gun (Hi-Point C-9) off of someone who was carrying it legally.

I've lost what little respect I had for Seagal.

I also caught him saying that as a martial arts master he's been trained to remain calm, then he got all excited over a stolen car chase 2 minutes later.

:banghead: I want back the hour of my life I wasted watching this garbage.

Its a TV show. Drama and ratings are the goal.

And you should have known going in that it was an hour you were never going to get back. :D

He's a ******bag that's for sure. He abondoned his family in Japan, disgraced his Sensei/Father in law, and he now denounces the same guns which he made millions from by exploiting them in b rate action flicks. Sounds like par for the course for Mr. Seagal.

You have clearly explained why I never expect to waste a minute of my life watching that guy. Thanks.

so I don't really care if he is, but understand that martial arts is the malcom x angle. Violence if needed type of mentality. Actually, since it is "self-defense" it is a last resort.

But I'll tell antis what I tell vegitarians and folks that don't eat venison.....
thanks for leaving more for me!

He claims a 20 yr career as a deputy but his show looks like they picked a bunch of older guys to ride around in unmarked cars 3 at a time. Did you notice he was the only one wearing the beefed up body armor?
I took his condesending tone with the one guy that had the pistol in his pocket as extremely biased.

The range at which he was zenning out shooting looked far less than 10 yds.
The only thin worse was Dog being on before and after.

Is he really doing some T.V series?
I stopped watching him a long time ago... he used to be actually cool in the 90's with his Aikido techniques. But now he is barely someone... who cares what he says or does?

He's been a (reserve) deputy for 20 years supposedly. They play down the (reserve) part to it sounds like he's been on active duty.

I think he pissed off his partner when he went on his anti-gun tangent. That guy's tone changed quite a bit immediately after that.

I haven't seen the show but I've seen the advertisements for it. He looks like Bloated Elvis, 21st Century Edition.

In my book, all of Hollywood is anti until proven otherwise. Just my own little rule of thumb.

Chuck is THE MAY-YUN!
Maybe if I use the total gym, I'll kick a$$ like he does.
