I've been closely following the move by Fn to release their new rifles this year, and I am set on buying a 2000 when they come out, but when I went to the local gunshop (which is a high quality- large shop) I was told by one of the guys behind the counter that FN is only releasing the P90 and not the 2000.

Now, I've seen the pictures from the SHOT Show so I know it exists, but will someone here quelch my fears and show me that the 2000 is being released as well as the P90.

Please....PLEASE...tell me it's coming out.........

Nothing factual, but the rumor mill seems to be grinding out that the P90 will be released 1st with the 2000 to follow sometime latter. Nothing but rumor though. Maybe someone here with "the hook ups" can get some real info.

Not a rumor, straight from FN that the P90 and F2000 semi will be coming out. Check out arfcom or shot show coverage, should be out middle of this year with the civilian SCAR out next year.

MMMMM....SCAR....

SCAR would be a good "spotter's rifle" for my Super-FAL, methinks. :)

Hey John, don't know if you saw it but an FN employee on ARFCOM stated that there are plans to release SCAR for civilian sales also depending on how well sales of the P90 and P2000 go.

Woo, buy buy buy. That way FN will sell the SCAR and maybe the upper will fit on my full auto FNC lower. :D

BR,

I have heard that, as well. Considering I have way more FAL mags (most still in wrapper) than any other kind, I could deal with a very modern, ergonomic FAL-mag user!

Hearing 1500 for semiauto P90, tho prices will probably come down to real P90 prices.

Hearing 1700 for F2000, tho I would hope that it would come down as well in price.

I'm not really compelled by either of these guns, especially not the semi p90, seeing how it is underpowered, overly large and not full auto like the real one.

The f2000 looks nice, but not 1700 dollars nice. I would probably pounce at some sub-1000 dollar price like $6-700. And it better shoot half moa groups at that price.

If I could find an auto P90 for $1,500, I'd buy it. They're running $2K+

RSR lists the semi F2000 and P90. The dealer prices are listed below. They do not know when they will get them in though.

FNFS2000 FN FS2000 223REM 30RD 16" BLK $1,555.55

FNPS90 FN PS90 5.7X28 30RD 16" BLK $1,110.00

Any update on when the F2000 is coming out? I'd buy one for $1,555.55 right now but I'd never pay $1,700. That seems a little high.

When we're talking about nearly 1.5-2k what's another $144.45; a case of ammo? Or is there something special about the number "5"?

No difference really. For some reason, $1,500 is a lot more palatable then $1,700. Not that it really matters as I'm getting one anyway.
