Wondering about the Kel Tec P11. For those of you who have one, does it carry well in the pocket like an LCP? Also are there any other suggestions for a pocket 9 other than the Rouhbraugh? Perhaps the Taurus slim or SR9C? Really looking for a pocket 9 otherwise I will just get an LCP.

I have one in my pocket right now. It works well in a Desantis Nemesis (modified a bit) and cargo shorts, or cargo pants. It's a bit bulky for pocket carry in jeans. They need to be very loose fitting.
I really prefer having 11 rounds of 9mm in my pocket as opposed to 7 rounds of 380.

The P11 double stack mags makes for a pocket full.
That's why the single-stack Kel-Tec PF-9 was introduced a couple years ago.

No, too thick even for "business casual", but it's a great light IWB carrying 10+ rounds.
I had one, but couldn't get used to the trigger on it. It was very light and easy to carry, but a little wide for CC. The PF9 is much better. Plus, you can buy the PF9 and a P11 for the price of a Rouhbrauch.
Kel Tec has a very good reputation for customer service and the guns are dependable. The Taurus Slim is close, but their customer service isn't going to be as easy to work with.

Good in a cargo pants pocket or coat pocket but a bit too large to really carry comfortably in a pair of jeans or slacks.
I usually carry mine IWB, it's light on a belt so it won't drag down your pants and doesn't print the way a larger heavier pistol would.

Well the PF-9 is the same size just a little slimmer, and being slimmer isn't going to make it fit in your pocket much better.
Slimmer is more for making it more comfortable for IWB carry.
Same with the Taurus or SR9C.
If you want a good pocket carry pistol you're gonna have to drop down to a .380 like an LCP.

What RCMODEL said. As another poster I carry my p-11 in a IWB holster or Belt slide, or fanny pack. Pocket carry for me is a Kel-tec p-32.

I have carried a pf-9 of about a year and now have ap-11. I ain't a little guy and have front pocket carried j sized revolvers for going on 25years. I like both the KT's egualy as well but the pf-9 is around 1/8th thiner on the slide an grip. Lenght and hieght are the same. Looks like a wallet in the front pocket of relaxed fit jeans.
I carried the P11 for about a year and the PF9 came out. It has a better trigger, is much flatter and will easily disappear with the right pocket holster. I have mine in my jeans pocket as we speak. It is my everywhere gun and literally goes everywhere with me. I always keep a spare mag in the other pocket....just in case the other one fails.
The big thing for me was the trigger.....much smoother than my P11 and having a small accessory rail up front allows a small laser or small weaponlight. The P11 is now in the nightstand drawer and I have actually carried it as a primary carry with the PF9 as a BUG. Many thousands of rounds through each and nary a failure. It's so light and comfortable I hardly know it's there.
Would I carry a Rouhbraugh...sure if I felt the PF9 was not doing the job.....until then the little Kel-Tec will do fine. Keep in mind this is just my humble opinion and many years of carry experience with many different guns.

The P-11 would not be my first choice as a pocket gun. I also would not carry it without a pocket holster. It does fit in pants pockets if the pants are loose.
My P-11 is for the crappier parts that I sometimes have to visit. It used to be a 5906, but those things are HEAVY. I figure 12+1 + another 12 or 17 or even 20 will ruin anybody's day.

I have big pockets. For most of my pants the P11 will barely work as a pocket gun. My Glock26, not so much. My PF9 is not an issue in 90% of my pants. The other 10% requires the P3AT or P32.
For me the PF9 is more accurate as well. YMMV.

I echo much of the same thing already mentioned. Small enough for a cargo pocket in or out of a holster, but a little thick for jeans. I also chose it over the PF9 and after a little work on the grip with some 200g emery cloth to smooth it out around the edges and along the seams it fits and feels good.
I don't if it's true, but I understand the PF9 has a somewhat lighter trigger than the P11, which has a, how can I put this, horrible trigger.

I carried a P11 in an Action Direct pocket holster for a couple of years. I like it. It's not a LCP, but it is a 9mm with 10+1. The trigger is crappy, but the gun is built as a 9mm belly gun for short ranges. It's not for jeans, but Dockers and dressier it is fine.
I strongly disagree.
Put a Glock 26 in you pocket then try a PF9, tell me which one is more comfortable.
The PF9 is ok for pocket carry.
The Taurus 709 is a much better gun IMO, but is a tad larger, and just at the edge of what I would pocket carry.
Overall I think the little .32's and .380's are the only guns really suitable for pocket carry, the small 9's out there work great IWB, which I have grown to prefer anyway.

I totally agree that it's too large for pocket carry, unless your pocket are like my lounge pants. lol which it works great in. It does however make a great belly, belt gun. Mine had the belt clip and,........well,.......my knives have never failed me that way! It just seems natural.
Now that I brought it up, has anyone had these belt clips fail? I never thought about it till now.
