God, California is full of Un-American Communists...

Well, I'm still here and a few other good unlucky people I know. I seriously cant think of doing this to an AR, basically urinates over Eugene Stoner's genius IMHO. If you must get a .223 w/o a pistol grip, I recommend the Kel-Tec SU-16.

If anything urinates on Stoner's design, it's a bullet button. I'd take a monte carlo stock and detachable mags over some hackjob mag release any day.

I am so glad I live in "flyover" country and not in California. Those poor, pistolgripless people.

Have you no sympathy for those of us forced by circumstances to live in New Jersey and who are prohibited by statute from putting bayonet lugs on our pistol-gripped semi-autos?

P.S., will not be getting one of the ingenious stocks designed to avoid a pistol grip or a thumbhole on an AR-15 type, but I am glad they are out there for those in restrictive states who simply must have a flash suppressor and a bayonet lug.

Those poor rifles. Reminds me of the ASPCA commercials that show abused and abandoned pets.

(Cue Uncle Ted singing, "In the Arms of An Angel")

Won't you adopt a California AR now and end the wanton suffering of these poor, defenseless, guns. A couple of hours a month at the local range is all they ask for and they can bring so much joy to you and your family.

(fade out)

Does this count? It IS California legal

Was this brought on by an epidemic of drive-by bayonetings in Jersey?

The Hammerhead uses a standard mil-spec off-list lower receiver, and lets you hold your AR-15 like a wooden rifle. Legal in all 50 states. In CA, you've got to go featureless but you can use 30 round mags and drop with a finger press...

In CT, MA, NJ, NY you can have one feature. Maybe you like a collapsible stock, maybe you want a threaded barrel so you can try various flash hiders / compensators.

Great picture!
Thanks! We have a bunch more photos on our website, including a new customer gallery.

How does it feel to shoot the Hammerhead?

It's like holding and shooting a wooden rifle. Your thumb goes over the top just like holding an old M1 carbine. Everyone who's shot it has remarked on how comfortable it was to shoot. Another comment we get is that there's no recoil.

If you build your rifle in what I call the Type I configuration (stock mounted to the Hammerhead, and a pistol buffer tube for your cheekweld like in the pictures in my previous post), you hold your head more upright. There's less scrunching your neck down to form a sight picture. This is a lot more comfortable than even a standard free-state AR-15 configuration. So we sell these into the free states as well as the AWB states.

ew! What the heck did they do to those poor ar15's!

Edited to add: Nothing against those particular ones or any company that has found a solution to the stupocracy that is California. In fact, thanks to those company's who have found a way around those dumb regulations. Boy am I glad that mine looks the way it does. I'm sure it's just as functional and/or more comfortable shooting, I'm just a sucker for aesthetics!

California is messed up beyond belief. in every way. especially financially. They elect movie star bodybuilders to lead them for crying out loud.

I would feel like a total DORK if I had to have a rifle that look like that. I think I would have to run a SKS or something.

You CAN have SKSs out there cant you?
