I know the sale of this ammo was outlawed but is there any way to get any metal piercing ammo for a collection? I'd love to find some for my ammo collection. I don't know of anyone ever having any.

probably at a gun show from another collector. once in while I see a single round in a grab bag box. I'm not sure if the seller knew what he had or not.

I have 3 rounds of 357 in my cartridge collection

got them with an MTM 38 caliber ammo wallet purchaced from a retired cop along with a box of stuff he sold a gun shop I frequented at the time. they bought the guns i bought the box. a number of collectable rounds in there some old Super-Vel(38s), a few (6) origional hydroshock(befour federal) 357s, 5 S&W nyclads, the 3 KTW 357s. I also got some holsters a bushnell pistol scope and some other stuff. Not bad for $25.

What's the deal on those super-vel .38s. Are they really hot loaded?

Man I can't hardly find the ktw's anywhere. There's a cartridge show near me in a month so maybe I'll get lucky.

I did find out that it's legal to sell from an individual to an individual. It's illegal to distribute, import or manufactur with out a special permit. A licensed collector can sell it but has to fill out paperwork.

At least there's hope.

Here's a couple of shots of some of the KTW and other AP rounds in my cartridge collection; it's still out there in small quantities, but you'll probably have to look pretty hard for it.
