I would call and find out who made the barrel and the scope before I invest that much money because the only thing original on that rifle is the bolt and receiver!
I have a beautiful Remington '03 barrel sitting in the workshop from an original WWII rifle and if the price on the gun for sale is any indication, I should be able to get $250 for it BUT I doubt I get get more than $100.
I think it's on the high side, but as they say, sometimes you don't pay too much, you just paid too soon. FWIW, I'm thinking you'll be lucky if it shoots well.
They are manufactured by Gibbs rifle company. with new manufacture barrels. the scopes are reproductions, I'm not sure of the make. the barrels are even marked
Two inches at 100 yards isn't very good for a rifle thats supposed to be a sniper rifle. Two inches at 300 yards would be only fair, not good! If you have to have one take your time and research the gun. Also you might check Shotgun News, and do a web search. Good Luck!
