Is this a good range bag?

$29.00 is a good price,it's MOLLE compatable,and it seems a lot better than the GI surplus mechanic's bag I use.I think it's a steal.
It looks ok, but lacks any pistol sleeves. It also doesn't have any specialized pockets. I like an earmuff pocket, water bottle pocket, eye glass pocket and magazine pocket.
My ishot is better in that it can hold all I need except for my rifle rest and some larger optics/equipment. It also has these specialized pockets I described.
The bag you are looking at is more of a bug out bag. A bag to carry all of your deployment equipment like: cuffs, pepper spray, tazer, baton, cell phone, flashlights, primary and back up pistol, gloves. . .The idea being you can have all of your equipment ready to go to work.

Midway USA Range Bag

I got the Midway bag for $29 + shipping awhile back, they do go on sale from time to time.
The thing I liked about it, has bags on side for eyes/ears, clip on tote for saving brass, side pockets for snacks, water bottle holder, lots of magazine elastic, pockets inside for ammo boxes, a removable insert to tote around the range, if you don't want to take the whole bag w/ you, and a couple pistol sleeves w/ zippers included....
It's not a small bag, however, you should know that. I wanted a big bag, coz I hoped that if I brought a few guns one day to the range, I could fit most of my junk in one bag. I couldn't see buying one much bigger than this, if I fill it up w/ gear, I wouldn't want to carry much more than this. I'm always afraid of breaking straps and handles w/ anything I have, even briefcases and gym/duffle bags never seem to hold up the abuse I put them through. So far, this Midway bag has served it's purpose.
You can take out the insert like I said, either once you get to the range, or just throw a few things in it and take it, leaving the mothership behind. Also, turns out, the insert fits nicely in a dresser saddlebag, so like a full size motorcycle, i can take the removable insert to the range on the bike...

Seriously, it might be, I mentioned all the stuff it came with, and the dimensions of each are on the respective websites to determine which meets your needs best.
FWIW, the site you reference indicates the retail price of your bag is $69, but they are selling it for $29, which looks like a good deal.
All I know is that I was so happy to get my bag for $29, since the 5.11 sells for $99. I'd say it's worth $60 for sure, compared to some stuff I see out there, but all I was trying to say was, if you get it on sale like I did for $29, it would be a great bag, and at the same price as the one you referenced.
So, is it worth double the price of the bag you asked about? That I'm sure would be debatable.
However, not knowing your specific needs, and not knowing whether the Midway bag would go on sale tomorrow, or next week, or when you wanted to buy, I felt compelled to share my positive experience with it, in the event it might genuinely help you in some way.

No problem, just making the statement that I wasn't sure, some might have taken my first reply as off topic if they thought I was suggesting a bag at twice the price, rather than commenting on their bag, esp if they didn't catch the part that I got it when it happened to be on sale...
First, the bag you have selected sounds great for what you want. The molle straps will allow you to add specialized pouches on the out side to do exactly what you want it to do. Molle pouches are available reasonable at most army navy stores. It is a bit small for me, but for one shooter and the things you describe goin in it, it looks great.
The Midway bag is good, but it is larger. It lists for $59, but is on sale every other month for $39. It would be for someone who wanted multiple pistol sleeves, a variety of ammo, etc.
You might also look at the ishot Mini Deluxe Range Bag. It has many more pockets for $10 more.

The bag looks good to me. I carry a light weight daypack as my range bag in the summer. It fits in the tail pack on my bike. In the winter I carry the Midway range bag. You can fit a lot of stuff in that bag. The bag you showed looks to be of good quality. If it fits all your stuff go for it.

One thing to consider is the number of guns and rounds you'll be taking. When I ordered a range bag from Springfield Armory a while back and it arrived, I thought OMG, I just bought a suitcase!
When I took three pistols to the range (two to shoot, one as a backup) and enough ammunition to shoot for a few hours, the bag that seemed like a suitcase turned out to be just big enough. And heavy!
So make sure that the bag will support the weight of guns, ammo, a small cleaning/repair "kit", stick-on targets, ear protection, a rag/towel or two, etc.. I was surprised how quickly the weight added up.

Again, it depends on your shooting. I'm a mil-surp collector/shooter. I have an old medium ALICE pack that I use for a range bag. It wasn't bought for the purpose, I've had it 15-20 years, but it works great. When I go to the range, I generally take 6-10 long guns, in mixed cartridges. The Alice gives me plenty of room for 1000+ rounds of medium to large cartridges. Not to mention any magazines, clips, tools, targets, ear plugs, etc. And being in the backpack configuration, with the exception of getting it on my shoulders, weight is not an issue. And even then it's not much of one.
I haven't priced them recently, but with the current trend to Molle gear, they could probably be found relatively inexpensive. They may not be the latest,greatest design; but they'll out last the newest designs for civies.
