Is this a good rifle?

Your handle has me worried!!! :D

The PC9 is well regarded by many as carbines go. The Marlin Camp 9 also has favor with some. Higher up in price is the CX4 Storm by Beretta - I like it.

If tho you can exploit your P95 MAGAZINES (they are NOT clips!!!) ...... then I think you'd find that PC9 a handy sorta camp/backpack gun - plus fun shooting.

I wouldn't use 9mm for deer... maybe .25-06 at the very least. :uhoh:

As far as fun and home defense go, though, I think the PC9 is a good choice. :)

More Info needed!

As usual, there is a clamor for more info.

At what ranges do you expect to be shooting at these deer and varmints?

An autoloader is XLNT for "messing around," ie plinking @ tin cans, but I can't see a 9 mm carbine as the ideal rifle for deer hunting, let alone shooting at varmints. For this, there are better choices.

How come you want this carbine--low recoil, speed of follow-up shots, price of ammo, or what? 'Cause you could get all of these factors for 1/4 of the price, with a 7.62x39 SKS.

Now, OTOH, if accuracy is one of your main goals...

Would you be reloading, or only shooting store-bought?

I'd like to have one. It looks like in would be a dandy little camp or maybe even a home defense carbine, but I don't believe it's enough gun for shooting deer. Sure, a 9mm will kill a deer. So will a .22 Long Rifle. But in my opinion, it's neither humane nor ethical.
